I really like The Brand Gap (by Marty Neumeier) for its honesty about how we work as individuals, teams and companies when it comes to marketing communications. Don’t let the page count discourage you — it took me less than five minutes. Marty touches on fundamental truths in an engaging way, making for a tangible and timeless narrative that moves fast. I especially agree with him about the dynamics between the left brains and the right brains you likely have on your team. Their tension is critical and healthy, but it has to deliver positive results. If you have not seen this presentation before, it’s worth your next five minutes.
